What exactly do I get for the monthly retainer?
The retainer is not a budget of hours. It is access to expertise and execution. What gets done depends on the diagnosis and the stage you are in. Sometimes that is mostly engineering, sometimes strategy, sometimes marketing. The outcome is the same: a system that keeps working once the agency is no longer needed.
Is email marketing part of the retainer?
Yes. Every retainer includes email marketing — Basic covers the foundation plus one campaign a month, Scale adds automation flows with two campaigns a month, and Premium runs four campaigns a month with A/B tests. Want email marketing on its own, without a retainer? That runs through our email marketing service.
Is advertising part of the retainer?
Yes, on all three. Basic covers one managed channel with a monthly report, Scale adds conversion tracking and weekly optimisation, Premium adds multiple channels plus A/B tests on the landing page. The media budget is separate: it goes straight to Google or Microsoft, with a minimum of €500 per month. We do not charge a markup on your media budget.
Are the website and hosting included?
Hosting, ongoing development and technical maintenance of your existing site are part of all three retainers — you get no separate invoice for them. A new build is not included: a new site or a full rebuild runs through Build, at a fixed price after a production scan. Everything we deliver is yours: code, content and accounts stay with you if you stop.
How do we get started?
With a no-obligation intro call. In half an hour we map out where things stand, whether we are a fit and what the priorities are. No commitment — you simply come away knowing exactly where you stand.
What term discounts are there?
You pick your own term. At 3 months you pay the base rate. At 6 months you get 3% off, at 12 months 6% off. Pay for 12 months in one go and the discount is 10%. All prices are excl. VAT.
Can I pay in one go?
Yes. Pay 12 months up front and you get 10% off the total. On the Scale retainer that saves you €6,000 a year.
How long am I tied to a contract?
The minimum term is 3 months — that is what it takes to get results. Choose 6 or 12 months and you get a discount. After the term you picked, you can cancel monthly with 1 month notice. Everything we build is yours — code, content, accounts.
What does an online marketing retainer cost?
Three levels: Basic (€1,000/mo), Scale (€5,000/mo, most popular) and Premium (€10,000/mo). The difference is in scope, response time, development hours and strategic involvement. Growth (€2,500/mo) and Enterprise (€25,000/mo) are available on request.
What if I want to stop after 3 months?
Then you cancel with 1 month notice. You keep everything we built — code, content, accounts, documentation. No lock-in, no exit fees.
What if it turns out to be more work than expected?
Fixed price means you know what you pay. If something takes longer than estimated, that is our problem, not your invoice. We flag it as soon as scope changes and agree on new terms then. No invoice surprises.
How is this different from an agency billing by the hour?
On an hourly rate you pay for input, not for results. The agency earns more the longer it takes. With fixed price the incentive is reversed: we are rewarded for efficiency, not for being slow. Project management and communication are included — no extra line on the invoice.
Do you work outside the Netherlands?
Yes, we work with clients across the Benelux and beyond. Communication is in Dutch or English. Meetings are remote, unless being in the same room genuinely adds something.
