An MCP connection lets your AI assistant (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot) safely read and edit your administration — with your authorisation, based on the real figures. Below is an honest, up-to-date overview of the Dutch packages: who offers it officially, where third parties fill the gap, and what we host at EASEO.
In short: what is an MCP connection?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets an AI assistant talk to other software in a fixed, secure way. Instead of a rigid flow (like Zapier or Make) you ask a question or give a command in plain language — "list every outstanding invoice older than 30 days" — and the assistant carries it out through the package's official API, with your key and authorisation. An agent is only as good as the data it sees, as safe as the access it gets and as useful as the process it lands in.

Your package has an official MCP
Jortt, Moneybird and Mollie offer it themselves — often included. Use that. You don't need to buy anything; we simply point you there.
Your package has none (yet)
WeFact, e-Boekhouden, SnelStart, Acumulus: here we host a secure MCP server, or supply a licence. Local or hosted, with IP whitelisting and your own API key. No data leaves your administration unasked.
You have a bespoke system or ERP
Exact, Twinfield, AFAS or a custom/legacy system? Then we build and host a connection to measure — including governance and support. This is the route for accountants, consultancies and larger administrations.

Which accounting software has an MCP connection? +
As of October 2026, Jortt, Moneybird and Mollie have an official, vendor-built MCP server. For WeFact, e-Boekhouden.nl, Acumulus, Exact Online, Twinfield, AFAS and Yuki there are third-party MCP servers (from EASEO, CodeMill and iWebDevelopment, among others). For SnelStart there is none yet — it is on EASEO's roadmap.
Does WeFact have an MCP server? +
WeFact doesn't offer one itself (yet), but EASEO supplies a ready-to-use WeFact MCP server: run it locally with an annual licence, or fully hosted. Your AI assistant can read and edit debtors, invoices, products and subscriptions, with confirmation on critical actions.
Do Moneybird and Mollie have an official MCP? +
Yes. Moneybird has an official MCP server with OAuth (a read-only and a read-write endpoint). Mollie launched an official MCP server in 2025 for payments, refunds and customers. So for those packages you don't need a third party.
Can I connect Exact Online to ChatGPT or Claude? +
Yes, through a third-party MCP server. Exact doesn't offer one itself, but providers such as iWebDevelopment (ISO 27001 certified), Peliqan, Ledger Botje and Invantive do. EASEO builds and hosts a bespoke connection when you need governance, support or a specific setup.
Is an MCP connection safe for my bookkeeping? +
That depends on the implementation. A good MCP server runs with your own API key, an IP whitelist and confirmation on write actions, and sends no data to third parties. At EASEO, connections run locally or on our server with whitelisting; nothing leaves your administration unasked.
What does an MCP connection for an accounting package cost? +
For an off-the-shelf package like WeFact, EASEO works with an annual licence or a monthly subscription for the hosted version — far below the enterprise platforms that charge hundreds of euros a month. Bespoke work for ERP systems (Exact, AFAS, Twinfield) is a one-off build plus a maintenance subscription. Request a quote for your situation.
